Cylindrical ribbed stoneware jar in greyish glaze, with matching silver lid stamped C. Holm 830S, and spoon in sterling silver stamped Hans Hansen, Denmark Sterling.

Origin: Denmark.

Bio:
Arne Bang (1901–1983) was one of Denmark’s most significant ceramic artists of the 20th century. He was renowned for his powerful forms, refined glazes, and collaborations with silversmiths, resulting in functional yet decorative objects with a distinctly Danish design language. The combination of stoneware and silver reflects the Danish craft tradition of uniting different materials in timeless designs. Hans Hansen (1906–1983) founded his silversmith workshop in Kolding, becoming one of the leading figures in modern Scandinavian jewelry and silver design.
