In 1940, it was announced by the Danish authorities that there would be an exchange of the then 1, 2 and 5 ears from copper to aluminum as the metal was to be used in industry.
A fashion quickly arose among the population to show their displeasure with the German occupation by tying a 5 øre, a 2 øre and two 1 øre together, whereby they together gave 9/4 and ideally these should be from 1940.
The set here is from 1929, 1930 and 1939.
