Beautifully restored Paflon from the 1920s

Sold

Height 40 cm.
Diameter 55 cm.

Beautiful newly restored chandelier from the beginning of the 20th century.
It is a so-called paflon or halv globe which is intended to sit very close to the ceiling, so that the light can play on the whitewashed ceiling.
It has four internal sockets that point at little inwards, so that the light is finely diffused in the multifaceted prisms. It is finished with glass leaves at the top and has cut icicles hanging around the edge. It is finished with alternating icicles.

The prism crown has been restored, new wires have been laid and broken prisms have been replaced with old original parts.
