Rare large Liège chandelier from the 1910s

Sold

Height 90 cm.
Diameter 47 cm.

Unusually fine chandelier from Belgian Liège.
The chandelier consists of square faceted prisms that the Belgian city of Liège has been known to make. We have never before had a chandelier of this size with this kind of prisms.

The chandelier has a total of six sockets that are all turned on at once. Two point upwards and the remaining 4 point downwards. The prism crown has long chains with prisms in line, it is finished with glass leaves at the top and has spikes around the middle, finished with a hexagonal flower. At the bottom, the chandelier is open, finished with a brass ring.

It has got new wires and old broken prisms have been replaced with original antique parts. It is in very nice condition with quite a few bumps on the sharp edges of the prisms.
