Height 75 cm.
Diameter 35 cm.
Fine smaller chandelier from the late 1800s with bronze frame and a rare combination of both pearls on string and square Liege prisms.
Traditionally it is said that these completely square thick crystal prisms come from Liege in Belgium. It has alternately 4 chains with beads on string and then 1 chain with square prisms in the top and 6 chains with beads on string and 1 chain with square prisms in the bottom.
It has 4 downward-pointing sockets and will do well over smaller dining tables or in a bay window. All its chains with beads on string are tied to the crown at the top or its bottom, this has only been done on the very best crowns before, as this has been enormously time consuming work.
The chandelier has been repaired and has had its wires inspected, broken prisms have been replaced.
