The switch is in turned mahogany and bone.

Length 9.5 cm.
Electricity became more widespread in Denmark around 1900 and the need to be able to call the maid with an electrical calling device arises. A cord was laid between the floorboards under the dinner table where the lady in the house would sit, from which she, with a contact like this, could discreetly call the maid when needed.
