Kristian Vedel melamine salt and pepper shaker

Sold

Height 10.5 cm.

The pepper has a micro chip at the base.
Kristian Vedel drew a series of stackable plates and bowls in 1955 for Torben Ørskov's shop "Form & Colors". It is for this series that this set belongs to.
In 1961 this series, made of melamine, won a gold medal at La Triennale di Milano.

The series was taken out of production around 1972, due to the oil crisis, as melamine is extracted from natural oil and could no longer be produced.

The set is in good condition - with the original stoppers.
