It is beautifully decorated with art nouveau ornaments.

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, it became a more and more common thing to have plants indoors - it was a large part of the decor in the Victorian era.

In order to avoid the occurrence of stains on the floors and window sills, you used a stand like this.
