A set of Art Deco book stand

The set is in red-brown marble with white front and a foot in black stone.

Absolutely classic art deco shapes, that would be a break with art nouveau's very fine and at times feminine details, flowers and decoration with stones. Art Deco originates in Paris in the late 1920s and is spreading rapidly to all of Europe and North America.
In each country, the style gets its own national expression and in some places its own name. In Germany, art deco becomes bauhaus.
