Superellipse tray in teak by Digsmed

Sold

Length 46 cm.

The tray is in nice vintage condition.
The Superellipse was designed by Piet Hein in 1959, when he was commissioned to draw a roundabout of the city council in Stockholm, in a square. In 1968, the form is used as a tabletop on the now iconic "Super ellipse" table and a mania is started. The form has since been used to a myriad of things.
