Ivan Weiss, born in 1946, is a Danish ceramist trained by, among others, Nils Thorsson, regarded as "Nestor" in Danish ceramics. Ivan Weiss currently owns a workshop, worked freelance for Royal Copenhagen, is guest sector at The Danish Design School.

Ivan Weiss was taught blue painter at the Royal Porcelain Factory in the years 1962-1966, after which he became an apprentice to Nils Thorsson and caught interest in the ceramic world. After a 2-year study in Japan, he returned to the Royal Porcelain Factory and made drafts for a large number of bowls, vases, ceramic potatoes that gained great popularity.
